Car service if the car has covered 700 miles in a year!

You need to have it serviced, oil has a shelf life, it's not only mileage that kills it, as the others have said move it once a week to keep the tyres and brakes tip top, and also to stop the clutch sticking, if it should stick there is a violent method to free it but it doesn't do the gearbox any good. hth.
