tried installing cruise control but not working yet

The space is probably way too tight for this on the LHD car. I don't have very large hands and all I could fit is one. And I left skin behind.

Will try undoing the fusebox to see if i can press the latch out from one side. Will take a trip by Skoda and buy the repair wire kit first, somehow I don't feel jamming the bare wire in there is the answer.

To be honest I normally do them from the outside. Remove the wipers and scuttle cover then the wiper motor. This will reveal the connector you need.

A friend of mine ex-Skoda tech mentioned the same. Is that hard to do, removing everything? Do you rate it as a DIY job?

To be honest, the only way of retrofitting cruise to my car is DIY, the local dealer over here didn't want to hear about it.

Yes it's not too bad. Just take your time and remember to mark the position of the wiper blades before you remove them.

Bump. On that plug, looking at it from behind, is it the upper row, or the ower row 4 that I should plug into?

I'm trying to push the pin in from behind, without removing connector.

Car is 3 feet away, pictures here in a minute.

This is mine, in situ.

You need to release the plug from the balck carrier and then open the security on the plug before you can insert the wire.

Already gave up on the thought of doing it from the cabin. Now waiting for some WD40 to work it's magic into one stuck wiper arm before we can remove that as well.

edit: By simply undoing the purple latch could we have pushed the pin in from behind?

There are special tools for removing them from the taper however it is often possible to loosen them by 'rocking' the arm.

You'll need to take the motor and linkage out as well. Remember to plug it back in when you are done.
