I finally managed to get hold of some Mk 4 aero wipers.

there was a set on ebay the other week but due to my laptop goin tits-up I didnt manage to get them.

got back to work on sun night and couldnt sleep so thought id have a look on the net, looked on ebay and there they were....................

£25.99 +p&p

couldnt resist! they have just arrived now and just had to put this on seen as though most posts are about problems.

one question thou, they were on a car that has been smashed as there is fine shards of glass in the blades and the arms have a few minor chips.

What is the best way of spraying them?

What type of paint should I use? (matt finnish)

well small bits like the way the glass goes after you smach the windscreen.

I have just washed the blades with soapy water and they have come up a treat. the arms dont look too bad now neither after giving them the once over with a cloth and GT85 lol

I am thinkin of just goin to halfords and gettin a tin of their norm mat black paint to spray them with.

Or should I use somethin else?

I guess it all depends on how noticable the marks on the arms are. I've got a massive amount of my drivers arm without and paint on but you don't see it that much due to it being under the bonnet so I never bothered.

i am stayin here at the weekend and I am hopin its good weather. gonna gutt the car. have started with the mats already. I have vacked them and they are goin under the shower now to get rid of all the crap out of them. its amazin how easy it is after usin tesco upolstry foam on them. that stuff still works when you wet it again. ace.

I'd be inclined not to use them if they're full of glass as you may well end up scratching the screen. Did it mention anything about the glass in the ebay description? If not, I'd recommend sending them back for a refund.

there is hardly any i n there. just the investigator in me thought Id have a look as to the reason for them being sold.

and i found very smal fragments of glass it was bout the same size as course sand. (was glass thou)

is there sposed to be any teath in the bolt hole?

Mine are pretty smooth, but seem to function fine.

looks like very fine teeth were there but are worn off. ill have a look tomoz when I take mine off car and put these on. to hand what torque should they be at?

I bought a pair of retro fit aero blades from Xenonbiz on e bay £10.99 inc postage and they look ok and work miles better than the standard oe ones cant go wrong a bargain at that price ....

I tried the reto ones, ended up puttin them on the G F car as I didnt like seein the arm and then a big gap then the small blade. Hopin that the aero arms are better.

I am finniky lol its gotta look right for me. same with my exhaust, i didnt wanna see the back box like most you see. I hat to have mine tucked up like the std one.
