tow bar

Featured Replies

i want to fit a tow bar to my 4x4 octavia , i will only pull a small trailor ,what sort of price am i looking at if i have a skoda bar as opposed to a "off the shelf " bar fitted by a local garage....btw a friend had a fitter come to his house & it cost him

I looked on ebay and found a few "cost effective" ones!

Main price difference will be whether you want a removeable swan neck type or fixed type. Pros and cons for both, for removeable swan neck type are dearer, by a long way.

The removeable swan neck type on my Superb is a Brink, as was the bar on my previous Octy. Without doubt the quality is top notch.

For me, the ability to keep the looks when not towing are important, plus even with parking sensors it gives me a little extra room to play with when parking.

Dont forget you will need the wiring and relay. The Skoda loom is a plug in job, and is dead simple, and the uprated flasher relay is a straight swap over affair as its just a case of swapping the old hazard flasher unit in the dash for the new one.

thanx kentish  ....just been on witter site & tow bar with single electrics was

Bumper needs slight cut with the old Octy, and again with the Superb.

It didnt/doesnt notice as its the bottom that gets cut and isnt visible from normal viewing.

Both of these are swan necks with a removeable neck.
