Giving my Furby some TLC

Featured Replies

Well recently I've been giving my furby some TLC, so I thought I'd post up some pics for you all.

First was replace the bushes with Powerflex and Ibiza Cupra ones (most of my bushes where knackered) :

Then I replaced my EGR valve (it was knackered too) so I got a Jabbasport EGR delete kit, replacement pipwork, and mikalor clamps:

These also arrived today:

Ah no strut brace I see :) lol

Just good mods, got the 312 stuff for a decent price so had to have them

Had one but was a pest when it came round to changing the airfilter (would be okay now as i have a BMC) also the strut top retaining nut didnt like it :(

Cheers mate, the list is gradually getting bigger. Most mods I've doe people have already done, but there the best mods out there to do.

I'm interested to see how much of a difference the 312's will do??

Nah, my reply was just a gentle dig at young Mr Jasc! ;)

They've popular because they're great to do and make a big difference. I have a feeling you'll nearly put yourself into the windscreen the first couple of times you use the 312s properly. Just give them a few hundred miles to bed in first....

Steve

Less fade, less stopping distance...

tbh im not that thrilled by them but they get a 10/10 for looks behind OEM wheels, they look massive :)

To me it sounds like your going down a slippery path modifications wise... Briskoda is like that, always spending your cash :(

Exactly the same problem here.

The bloody thing doesnt even reach properly so one bolt has to go in at an angle = rounded off nut :thumbdwn:

Mines taken off now as well.

Also got a set of Cupra bushes and Powerflex to go in mine, how much difference do they really make?

Yep its been like that since I got it just over a year ago, rekon I've spent a fair wee bit on it since lol

I got my strut brace fitted by someone, so no hassel for me lol

I did my bushes last friday, the knocking noise was the first difference I noticed, the shudder through the steering wheel was much less! and corners are alot nicer to go through, tighter!

Don't know about you but most of my bushes where knackered so the difference was like night and day

Were can you get the egr delete kits? id love one of those... is your car still good for mot after fitting one of these?

Jabbasport do one.

Steve

What size ARB bushes did you use?

The vRS has a 20mm arb and Powerflex dont make bushes for that as yet, biggest is 19mm.

Ive just painted my 312mm calipers red with a Foliatech kit , not had them fitted yet so I'll post them up later see what you think!

Got 19mm arb bushes mate, they fitted fine.

Jabbasport do a 57mm kit and a 60mm kit, I got the 57mm kit, although it took them just over 3weeks to deliver it!

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but MOT wise the car should be fine, the CEL light does come on after you fit this though

All these threads about mods are eventually going to cost me money! I have so far managed to resist buying any mods but i am getting more and more tempted by the day.

LOL Best advice dont do it just over £4,000 and I'm thinking about spending a further £6,000 on it to go for the above 250bhp club.

where do you get these prices from??

do you randomly make them up?

:rofl::rofl:

Why not spend the 10k on an Evo and mince every Furby on the planet - completely

My thoughts exactly!

Don't get me wrong wee mods here and there, but what LittleBull is on about is just daft, I'd have an m3 or an evo by no now if my insurance was cheap enough, until them I'm keeping my furby but won't be spending 4-6k on it:rofl:

Anyway, started painting tonight..........
