HPi checks on a mobile

Featured Replies

OK who has used a HPi check on their mobile? there are a few around according to google, some pretty useless.

So which one have you used?

Was it any good ?(i.e. would you use it again)

How much was it ?

Any to steer well clear of?

I can get a 'car data check' done by the RAC for £5 a car (not as cheap as others i have seen) but IIRC they e-mail you the results, not much use when i wont have access to my e-mails.

A couple of the cars on our list are 'HPi clear' so i assume the dealer has already checked them, are these dealer HPi checks the same as they used to be? (5+ years ago)

TIA

I've used the 83800? one a few times (the one with the Kung Foo add) and they are very good, but I only use them 'in the field'. I tend to use car data check online, £3.99 and spot on.

I used the same one as MoggyTech, with the Kung Fu add's (now uses a black background and yellow writing). All seemed very good, not as much info as a full HPi done via the PC, but good none-the-less if at an auction or whatever. I never seemed to get charged, it wasn't added onto my phone bill, so it might have come out of my allowance (T-Mobile Flext).

I don't know how accurate it was a the tw*t selling the car sold it despite us having arranged to come see it and didn't bother to let us know. )We checked first as it was a long drive and that would have been cheaper than fuel.)

I used the same as above.

The text came back immediately and after seeing the official HPI check from the garage it was spot on.

I'd use them again for extra piece of mind!
