There is a girl in Ireland who has lost her license due to going by the same camera over the limit and totaling up 12 points(its a 50 zone and the sign is on the merging lane to a dual carraige-way, easy not to see it due to watching out for oncoming traffic). It took so long for the notice of the first offence to come out that she'd already racked up 12 points.

Its all a money making racked.

I knew that Eire had introduced points on licences a few years ago, but didint know you had speeding cameras now to. Guess I'll have to be extra careful on my next visit.

When theres money to be made, there no problem installing cameras.

There is a few fixed ones around, but only a couple work at any onetime. What roads do you normally travel, I'll see if I can point any out.

Also be very carefull of the mobile one's, the dark green Transit with the hi-roof is famous, theres also a few White hi-roof Renaults . Best to keep an eye out for parked vans with a cut out on the tinting on back window (your probably used to it in England).
