Hi

Went out in my Octavia just up the road to drop my daughters mate off, when i got back in I could not put it in to any gear.

What I had to do was put it in second when off, start with clutch down and drive back in second.

Any help to what this may be, price to fix.

Sounds like the clutch is dragging. You could try bleeding it first, but it may be new clutch time.
