Project Parking Sensors

Featured Replies

Fancy rear parking sensors on my vRS but didn't want to butcher my rear bumper.

Found this on ebay which is the same colour as my car so am now going to source some aftermarket sensors to fit in the original holes and try to make it as factory looking as possible.

Anyone got a good pic of the original sensors and any idea of size?

Thanks!

wow! that seems a lot more extreme than fitting your own! You don't need to take the bumper off at all to retro-fit. I have a guide somewhere, if you need it...?

I didnt want to butcher my original bumper. Don't mind playing with this as I got it for 45 quid.

Yeah, don't blame you - the OEM look is a lot nicer... but for £20 all-in, they're pretty good (especially considering the colour match is perfect).

can you buy the parking senors from the dealer and have them fitting it? how much would it cost?

The original parking sensor system is integrated into the CAN-BUS. I don't want to go this route.

I just want some OEM looking sensors that I can wire in separately.

The control module for the sensors in sitting on the rear left wheel arch, it's hardly a case that the loom going back would have a connector already in that area ready to connect in if you bought the control unit ?

Are these any use to you?

I am thinking of getting some for my Jetta as one of my first mods.

I would say they're identical to the ones I've fitted, just branded with a different name (mine were CISBO), like these on ebay

That seems like a right bargain. Do you have a pic of them fitted? What colour did you go for?
