Lost My Auto-Windows !!!

Featured Replies

Was installing an interface on saturday,

I had to put in a new circuit on the fusebox, so i disconnected the negative on the battery and removed all the fuses, connected the new circuit, replaced all the fuses and reconnected the negative terminal..

I had to drive it for a few yards to turn off the powersteering light and traction control light..

Everything was fine until i pressed the window button.. I lost the auto function on all four windows. I have to hold the button pressed the whole time..

Has anyone come across this before, will i have to go looking for someone with Vag-com.

I was going to look at all the fuses, but surely if the windows are working, the fuses is fine..

Now all i can think about is "What else have i lost ???? !!! "

Any help appreciated lads,

Tom

Just do full open and full close for every window, and "auto" function will come back.

As above, there's a thread on this somewhere if you do a search. Something along the lines of doing the windows up and holding the switch in the closed position for a few seconds iirc.

I think Lummox posted it

Same kind of thing on the Fabia (Mk1) as well :)

Window down, hold it for a bit after it has fully come down, then do the same closing it, hold it for a bit once closed.

After that, let go and try the auto-down etc. If it does not work, just try again and hold for a tad longer :)
