Well, after being made redundant at the end of November and going through a bit of a 'squeaky bum' time, as Sir Alex Ferguson might say, I finally got a new job starting on Monday I'm made up, but still a bit nervous as I nearly had 2 other jobs but the companies decide to do 'job role audits' and scrap the new staff intake. This recession is starting to bite big time, unless you're a banker of course, in which case you'll still get a massive bonus and a big thak you for failing to do your job responsibly, but that's another thread.

Anyway, now I'm earning again I'm back in the market for a remap and the nearest service to me is AMD Technik in Essex, but they offer AMD and REVO remaps. So which one is best?

They also offer 2 different remaps for the same price on both versions. A 40bhp increase or a 52bhp increase :confused: What's that all about then? I'm going to phone them, just wondered if anyone had any ideas so I've got some knowledge to back up my questions.

There are a few people on here that with AmD swtichable maps on Fabia vRS'. But all that was beofre they were brought out by Big boys toys.

The Essex branch is quite easy to find, It's in the insustrial units round the back of the B&Q at lakeside. The quickest way is to use the road inbetween B&Q and Ikea.

Just think of the fun you will have on the way back from Canterbury, its not that far for a quality proven product, with reliable back up service, and a rolling road.

Loads of us on here have used Mikes maps at Impossible with top rate results, and I for one, cannot complain at all.

APS are just up the M40!

I wouldnt focus too much on figures and more on how it drives.

Cheers everyone, I'll have to have a careful think about it. I must admit I've not read anything on here about AMD remaps since the takeover so I have to take that as a 'not recommended'. Revo and Impossible both have good coverage though…

APS are mostly ex AMD staff and have been great for me, very helpful and put up with me asking lots of questions when im there.

ive got an amd re map from amd in surrey and i am more than happy with it.The map is nice and smooth and the guys are very helpful and understanding.
