As long as both tyres on an axle are the same size then you can fit what you like.

What do you have on the other side on the rear, and what do you have as a spare?

A 12 month old Dunlop SP Sport 2020 E, not sure what I have as a spare.

Despite what the law says, I would always fit tyres of the same tread pattern on an axle, and preferably all round. I drove a standard Fabia 1.4 with a Kumho on rear n/s and Bridgestone on tuther side, the handling was dire.

So you are saying stick with the Dunlop tyre.

I'd check what the spare is before you make a decision. A while back I was in the position of needed a new rear tyre as a result of a bad puncture (no such thinkg as a good puncture I know before the pedants say it). Rather than run a new tyre on one side of the axel and a tyre with maybe 5-6mm left on the other I used the spare which was brand new and paired it with the new tyre I bought. The part worn became my spare. See where I'm going with this.................?

And in agreement with Moggy, I would always have the same pattern on the same axel although I currently and always have had different front to back............
