Rust

Featured Replies

Hello again

While putting my spare wheel one (see my other post for the reason!) I noticed that the top of the brake discs seem very rusty. Is this normal? The car (Furby VRS) is only 3 months old and has only done 2800 miles. The braking surface itself is clean, but the top and inside are very "orange".

Also the mounting point for the wheel (not sure of the corect technical term!) also showed signs of rust, which I was again surprised at.

Let me know your experiences so I can hassle the dealer if necessary!

Thanks in advance.

Mines the same but it's not a problem.

Same here. Is gone as soon as you hit the brakes for the first time.

I've never had rust as even as that on mine - they look like they've been coated in copperslip :D (yes, Q, I know they haven't!!)

Q's famous gold brake discs surface again! I have a suspicion that he smuggles gold bullion in from the Continent disguised as brake discs.
