Leaking boot solved!

Featured Replies

Recently my car has started getting wet in the boot near the little storage net (otherside fron CD changer). It turned out to be a poor spot weld near the boot strut which had broken. This can be fixed with a small dab of silicone sealant. I know a few other owners have had the same problem, It can be verified by pouring a jug of water down the rain gutter with the boot lid open. Hope this helps somebody!:)

exactly the problem i had, posted it a lil while ago, make sure the ball stud for the boot strut is tight as i think the spot weld breaks when that is a tad loose putting extra strain on the spot welds, i had mine fixed under corrosion warrenty :) 10 years on the skodas!! they re welded it and painted the rain gutter
