Badge Removal

Featured Replies

I've decided that the ar5e end of my VRS needs a bit of debadging to clean it up and I'm planning to get rid of the Octavia badges.

Would I be correct in assuming that they are stuck on and with a bit of warm air and fishing line I can take them off pretty easily??

All the letters and the VRS badge are stuck on.

Make them nice and warm and use the fishing line or dental floss.

Just lift an edge and hold it away from the bodywork under a steady force, than make the doublesided glue warm and it will come off. Needs a bit of power though.

When i done mine i used thick cotton to get the badges off then used my thumb to rub most of sticky strips off and then methylated spirit to get the rest off as it just dissolves with meths on them then T cut and polish

Is the front one stuck on also?

Cheers!

Front vRS badge is melted in.

I nearly take the front vRS badge off every time I clean my flippin' car!! Seems to be that the nice pointy corner is perfectly positioned and angled for snagging the corner of cleaning mits...
