Nope , no control over cable decoders as it has its own freeview tuner built in.

I think you may need to stick with a TiVo for that.

Oh, thats no good then the last time I checked we were just short of a mile or two of the digital signal. Plus I've got a special cable box that gives me all 50 channels of rubbish for free.

For the price of a tivo on ebay I could get sky+ and subscription for a couple of years!

I picked mine up 2 years ago for

bargin at that price! Have you got the turbonet card?

I got one back then for that price but sold it as I had no money for the lifetime sub and it wasn't much use without it.

Yes, I have a turbonet card too. Together with Tivoweb Plus and TyShow I can watch shows straight from the TiVo on my PC, without the need of extracting them first. Using TyTools I am able to extract and then do whatever I like with the video (like re-encoding them to DivX for my Archos AV420 ;)).

So with all of this technology washing about, has anyone managed to rip it and put a link out yet? Just kidding, I have sky+ and its great, but am a week late putting roadcops (or whatever it's called) onto the series link record.

you need the divx codec, also used for alot of other movies available on the net, wink wink...

It's encoded with XviD. I can strongly recommend you use Media Player Classic (note, this is not a Microsoft product).

Thanks for your efforts there Q. Gald it wasn't my motor those toe rags had nicked, you would be more upset to get that back than if they had burnt it out once you saw the chase down that path through the park.
