I think TRAX jinxed me.

As much as I enjoyed the day I had the final remaining dipped beam bulb pop on the way home, leaving me just fog lights and my 100W main beam bulbs dipped a little later than normal to get from where I was fed & watered, to home... Good fun. Plus, in all my driver's door card fiddling I think I've managed to detach the handle cable from the mechanism as it now does nothing and I need to wind the window down to open the door.

Now lets see what happens when I try to wire the comps into the Rockford...

the door mechcanism thingy, is proberly still in MY car Jason :D

Seemed mine was used as a storage shed, for most of the day.

anyone want to rent any storage space.

Bl00dy shed on wheels :D

Jonno. :P

alright guys, as i checked your vehicle passes to let you in to silverstone on sunday i noticed you all seemed to have the 16'' Vrs alloys. I've got a fabia 1.9tdi and i've just bought the 17'' Vrs alloys - will they fit?

don't think the octy vRS tyres are the right profile though? correct me if I'm wrong.

No - You need 205/40 tyres to fit - there was no mention of whether he got tyres with the alloys so I overlooked that comment. oops. :D

cheers guys, was obvious when you lot turned up: set of quality cars surrounded by some damn awful ones we were tempted not to let in!

Josh, if you were the chap who let me in with just a Stand ticket (Thanks Paul!) and a Track ticket (Thanks Dave!) but no entrance ticket, a big  to you ;)

I reckon so! :D The day left me wondering if the cars could have been got in to the venue any quicker though? I guess demand was huge that day!

They could have helped themselves by using both lanes on the A43 instead of sitting in the inside lane like sheep.

As for why we were at a complete standstill for the best part of an hour, i have no idea. All i saw were a couple of broken down Fords...

Has anyone been to the GP at Silverstone? The waits are even longer.

its a joke really, if you want to take your car on to the track you can go in via either the main gate (two lanes round a round-about) or through the vehicle gate where i was, at one point we had three lanes coming off the road up to the main gate and three from the dual carriage way off the A43; six lanes filtering through a gate wide enough for only two vehicles!

the grand prix is getting better, at least theres a dualcarriage way now!
