Hi all

As the original radio in our '51 Fabia had given up the ghost I got hold of a standard fit CD/radio plus the facia bit you need and proceeded to fit it without problems. That is until I tried to lock the car. With the new radio connected the remote central locking doesn't work but only turns the internal light on or off. It still works OK using the key in the door

Has anybody come accross such a problem or have any suggestions?

Did you disconnect the k-line connection and swap the power leads over ?

try searching the forum for radio installation problems.

Cheers for that. I will try swapping the red and yellow leads and see if that works. On the antenna adaptor there is a blue wire coming from it. Do you know if this also be connected to the red wire?

usually goes to a 12v that is live with ignition

Thanks for the advice, all sorted and working now. Remote central locking problem was caused by red and yellow leads being the wrong way round and wouldn't lock with a live flow going through the system to the radio (I guess it thought that the key was still in the ignition to make this happen)
