UPDATE: swmbo has just found another campsite, down on coniston water, they allow big groups/BBQ's ect, and they have a huge ammount of space, and being out of keswick, we should all get on without booking (you can also swim in the lake ! ) We'll check it out at the weekend, and report back

Think I know the one you mean. Is it Coniston Hall Farm? Down near a sailing club - and there's a house with big chimneys?

If it is the one I'm thinking of I stayed loads when I was younger. It was always a pretty laid back site and we used to have camp fires down by the lake when we got back from the pub.

Not been for a few years though but if its not changed it would be ideal

Drat hit a snag can't do the 21st but If I'm good I'm going to try and get down for the saturday drive and maybe camp the saturday night if that is ok?

davy if i cant get the friday off then we will be up for the saturday and stay for a couple of nights, so if you fancy staying longer then you wont be billy no mates ;)

Can I just be cheeky & point out the link in my signature.

We're also having a little camping adventure

Fri 14 - Sun 16 August to the Rutland area

The more the merrier

cheers .. Darren
