Hey all, Im looking at changing my backbox on my octy as the pipes look awful.

can anyone tell me:

1-Does the VRS TDI backbox fit straight on?

2-does the backbox from any other VAG models fit?

3- would a smaller sized backbox custom made be beneficial? in the way a mufflerectomy would?

just trying to decide what my best option is, and I cant justify the cash for a full system on a TDI.

Can't see why the vRS rear box won't fit (I'm planning to fit a Leon Cupra 2.0 TFSI rear box to my TDI Sport).

Other VAG models may fit but the tailpipe may not due to the size & shape differences of the bumper cut out.

A custom box may be another option.

As for the mufflerectomy, I wouldn't bother as it will increase fuel consumption.

What about getting the trim items fitted?

trim items I had considered, but figured by the time I buy and fit them, could probably get a backbox for just a little more?
