7.5" or 8" will they poke?

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have searched a few times and flicked through the 'Alloy wheels thread' but I cant find the answer!

Could anyone tell me or provide me with pictures detailing how much a 7.5" and 8" wheel will poke out the arch both front and rear...

Reason is im looking to buy some wheels which are available in 7.5" and 8" so i need to decide whether to go 7.5" all round or 7.5" up front and 8" at the rear.

Any help will be highly thanked!

I have 7.5" on 15mm spacers, so in effect they are about the same as 8.2" wide on the stock hub. No real sticky out'ness.

No problems lock to lock?

Nope :)

8" would look nice slammed on coils with a slight stretch :D

It would depend entirely on the offset of said wheels.

Could get a 5" wheel to poke given the right offset.

Yes at ET20 you will.

On both? do you know by how much?

What car did they come off to be ET20? That's a good 20mm+ more offset than usual VAG wheels.

Im finding it hard to imagine it in my head!

8's roughly et20.

Mmmmmm, im going to have to think about this one!

Unless you have streached tyres like the above picture, it wont look good.

Also If the tread sticks out more than the arch it will be illegal as well.
