Featured Replies

Hello all, its my first time! Found site recently and registered yesterday. keep thinking bout having my year old v/RS chipped and was considering amd. can anyone recommend them? they get good reviews in evo mag.

I could recomend them, but then i'm a little biased ;)

Im sure the Jabba fan club will be along shortly...

Too many variables. Age, driving history, company etc etc.

I think you will find a lot of insurance companies tend to run away when you mention modification. Best check out a few quotes.

By nothing - if over 25 and with LiverpoolVictoria. See the my Insurance forum. :D

please tell me more. still trying to decide whether to be chipped or not to be chipped its down to either AMD or jabba plus what happens to insurance and warranty. I don't expect a reply until you've run out petrol

Not really Pete....

....just trying to be unbiased. ;)

There's a lot of options out there...something for everyones circumstances and requirements.

I try not to make comment when someone asks such a question...I let everyone else speak from their experiences. ;)

At the end of the day the final results are much of a muchness. What will make people decided is:

1) others experiences/word of mouth.

2) value for money.

3) customer service.

4) distance to travel.

These are in no particular order.

Cheers.

Warranty is out the window unless you have a friendly dealer who will turn a blind eye to it for warranty claims which aren't a result of the ECU. Some will let you reset the car to standard for putting in a warranty claim, but there may be tell-tale signs that Skoda/dealer can spot.........

Suggest you also read the "What mods are worth doing" thread by RealSkoda in the My Performance forum. There's some good info in there.
