In toyota, for example, you can stop that awful seatbelt reminder from working. You don`t even have to go to a dealer. Does anyone know if this is possible in superb ? I know it`s possible by programming....

why is it annoying ? you get in the car, you put the seatbelt on and then you turn on the ignition ? why do you need to drive without the belt on ?

Sorry I have to say this, but that kind of an answer is boring, because everyone knows that already. There are situations where the use of that belt is not so convinient.

And as a matter of fact, I learned this week that I might get that awful noise :thumbdwn:disconnected at the dealer. I hope it`s true.....

I'm a taxi driver and don't wear a seat belt in town (i legally don't have too) so i will find it very annoying when i pick my car up.I hope it can be turned off.

why dont you wear your seat belt in town ?

whats the point in buying a modern car with all the safety features then not wearing the seat belt. I hope you dont have a bump that sets the airbag off - i would not want to be in a car when the airbag goes off if I dont have my seatbelt on !

I think it is more inconvenient to be hurt if you crash than the extra 3 seconds it takes to put your belt on !

the taxi driver in the town doesn't have to wear a seatbelt by the law.... this is because sometimes a taxidriver gets into trouble with scumbucks sitting in the back seat and he needs flexiblity.....to be ready to either get out of the car or etc....

it sounds strange but it is for the taxi driver's safety not to wear a seatbelt in town....

I think not.

They agreed to disconnect the driver-reminder, not the passenger-one. Which makes sense, because the passenger has to wear the seatbelt, the driver doesn`t, when he has a passenger on board. And I do have an extra-seatbelt clip for those who absolutely won`t wear the belt or have a permission from the doctor.

Anyway......
