Swirls in paintwork !!

Featured Replies

Anyone got any advice on what to use on the paintwork to get rid of the damn swirl mark disease :(

Spoken to the chap with the rather nice black Octy VRS (the one with the 19" RS8 rims) at Trax 04 who recomended a particular product, didnt catch his name and i cant remember what the stuff was called.

Have tried one application of Autoglym cutting polish + two applications of Autoglym super resin polish but its no better, any ideas ?

I have turtle wax swirl removing polish. Works quite well.

You wont stop it, but using cutting products wont help either (and possibly make it worse).

Swissol is the stuff I use, and does a damned fine job or helping to hide/cover/remove those swirl marks as well as putting a damned fine shine/wax over your beast.

Check out my gallery, to see how it came out on my Superb.

Be prepared though for a shock to the wallet if you go the Swissol route..it is not cheap...but it does last a very long time as you use so little of it.

There are of course other products to protect and shine your beast.

another  for swissol.

whoever valeted my merc before it was picked up needs shooting - horrendous swirl marks.

a couple of coats of swissol later and it looks gloriously glossy.

great stuff!

Huck,

I lose track. What are you driving this week?

I used "GS3" - another cheap "miracle" scratch remover and then a wash and a coat of Turtle Wax this evening - the car is gleaming and the swirls are much better - although not completely invisible. I would probably buy better products were it not for the fact I've got several hundred stone chips and tar spots ..... :(
