but it is kind of Skoda related...

Does anyone know if there was ever a dicast model (1/18th scale) of the Octavia rally car ?

Thing is i collect (sort of) dicasts that you either dont see very often or are rally cars and with it being my happy birthday next wednesday my lovely better half wanted to get me the above (if it was possible)...

ta.

RK Olivers in Belfast used to have these, but as of the end of last month they are not Skoda dealers. Why don't you give them a call. I am sure something as small as a toy car could be posted.

Are you thinking of 1:43rd scale? I've see that size at dealers and model shops but never 1:18th

Could be, not an expert in toy car scales.

yeah 1/18th is fairly big TBH... i know the sort of thing your thinking of william and thanks for the thought.

Have a look on the Skoda Germany online shop...seems to have most things, so if they have one there you know you're not on a wild goose chase... :)

Rob.

it would be good if it was 1:18th as I'd like one of the fabia WRC.

Nigel have you tried a google search?

These guys do a wide range of motorsport die cast. They are usually quite reliable as I've had some F1 models from them in the past.

I know they do some rally models but can't say I've ever paid attention to that section.

It's a Model William, not a T.O.Y. ;)

ok done some searching and so far I have found that Solido do the Fabia WRC in 1:18th scale (new for 2004) so I'm guessing that they might have done one in the Octy

Hope that helps abit it might give you an idea of where to look

i knew asking here would be a help, thanks for the assistance guys... Grand Prix Legends was a good one but unfortunately dont do any Skoda cars, they do have a nice Integrale though ;)

The solido thing might be a good one to look into though, i'll see what i can find. suppose a fabia WRC would be a good 2nd option if the octy never materialises.

Thanks again guys.

gives the details on the Fabia WRC, going to but my order in for one heehee

Good find! Spent hours on Google looking for a Uk supplier and couldn't find one, so I guess it will have to come from across the Channel :) Not a bad price, either :D

very good price and the slightly more expensive would appear to be around 1/18th scale, my french stops at asking where to loo's are so i couldnt really make head nor tail of the site.

if you look at www.solido.com - thats in french as well.

yeah I notice that aswel, took me awhile to find the link I posted, if you dont want to ordered from france try e-mailing PAUL SMITH on [email protected] and he can put you on the reservation list.

Just out of interest buying from a european country do we have to pay VAT? I can remember ordering something from the states and I was hit for

i think you only have to pay import charges if the package is valued over a certain amount, of course that may be absolute rubbish and i'm talking out my behind again...
