Legal Pressed Plates - Dubmeister

Featured Replies

I'm out of this GB also, looks like we are gonna struggle to get the numbers on here. If anyone is interested the GB over on uk-mkivs.net closes tomorrow mid day. I've just added myself to their list as they have over 30 people interested!

Hi, do you have a link for that group buy? i can't seem to navigate through that very oddly designed forum. Cheers!

Hehe. Someone made a comment (a nice jokey one) about all the Briskoda members appearing and jumping in the group buy!

They don't seem to mind and are happy to welcome some new honorary members. Although they do have a section for Skoda and other non MKiv stuff.

Can't say I'd have anything to do with anything that is related to TSR assuming it's the same people running the show.

When TSR went bust a few years ago a local bussiness man bought the company and totally refurbed the place and put in a new RR. I haven`t had any dealings with them so cannot say if it`s a good or bad company to deal with but it`s not run or owned by the last crook that screwed the company and customer over.

is this stil goin?

It moved to the uk mk-ivs forum group buy which i think has now ended sorry.

I bought a set of nice pressed alu plates from an ebayer called europl8 for £19.00 + £3.50 P&P in 2007. Reflectivity and font were legal, but no manufacturer's details at the bottom. This however doesn't in itself make the plates illegal, just that they don't conform to BS AU 145d. I looked into this in some depth. Provided the font is correct and the right size and that the colours are right and the reflectivity conforms to an equivilent EU standard, e.g. pass German TUV and bear the TUV logo, the plates are legal. I'm sure if you emailed him, he could sort you out. I was very happy with them.

If you have a GFS near you I think they act as agents for Dubmeister and do them for £30. So only £6 more than the proposed £24 incl postage.
