Its because your special.

Black badges were put on later models I believe?? They're a hell of a lot smarter than the Skoda green ones. I keep meaning to invest in some...

I liked the black badge so much

I took the black badge off the engine and replaced the green one on the back of the car with it.

Anyone know the part no. for the black engine cover badge?

I dont know the part number

but i phoned up the local dealers and orderd two black carbon engine badges and the dealers had them ready for collection a few days later

Cant remember how much they were but they were cheaper than the standard green badge

Any pics of the black badge fitted to the exterior of your car?

Sorry mate

No

I dont have the computer knowledge to be able to upload photos off my camera onto my computer

Then i wouldnt know how to get the photos off my computer onto the internet

I had both back and front of the car with black badges

but the front badge didnt look right to me so i took that off and put the standard one back on.

The black badge is still on the back and i think it looks good

Im sure there are photos of other fabias with a black badge on the rear on here somewhere

I've got a blue skoda badge at the front, don't like it much, I'll swap for a black or green one if anyone is interested.

Hello

I have a black 'Skoda' engine cover badge, but thought it is part and parcel of the cover, are you saying it can be removed/replaced??

Ian. 21/03/2009

yeah

You can just pull it off:

Replaced both ours (05 & 06 cars) with coloured badges as soon as we bought them..... A nice simple relatively cheap mod.

Cheers

Dave.

To get the green badges off... is it simply hairdryer them 2 melt the glue, get a flat headed screwdriver underneath and lift??

The black badges don't go on as easy tho if I remember someone saying??

You have to heat the black badge with a hairdryer

to put a slight bend in it,so it will fit on the back

Its a simple task

Put some pictures up I may be interested.

How many have you got??

And how come they are blue?

Or has it just faded?

yea i thought mine was just part of the engine cover, doesnt look like a badge  it looks more like its moulded into the engine cover

Anybody got any pics of this black engine badge?

I would like to swap if you are still interested?

The badge in that link is actually the standard green not black?

You can have my blue ones if you like, I assume yours are the green ones.
