Featured Replies

hey guys, wonder if anyone can help?

i'm getting my alloys refurbed, but i don't have anything to put on the car at the moment.

rather than buying a set for all of a week, and anyone got a set lying around that i can borrow for a week? beer tokens are offered, preferably somewhere in hampshire too, thanks guys

Alan

Ive got a set of 16" ride alloys plus two spare tyres. bit of a distance from Hampshire though :D you could but a set and then sell them on if you cant find anyone near?

I've got a set on my Octy, and I'm in Southampton, but if I lend them to you my car will be on bricks for a week.

If you like, I'll have a look at my local tame breakers yard and see how much I can get a set of 4 steelies for...

Are you in a rush for them? I have a set of 5x100 alloys here and am heading to Hants a week on Thursday?

just thought, has anyone got a spare steelie lying around in the right size, that way i could get two done at a time, not as good as getting them all done in a oner but a damn sight easier to get a hold of i imagine!

Don't forget no normal steelie will go over the vRS octy front brakes. :) You need the 16" ones that clear the brakes. Not sure what they are off. You could always put 14" steels on the back, get those 2 wheels 'furbed, then do a front wheel swap only, get those 2 wheels 'furbed, then stick them on the back. :) Pretty sure any steel will go over the back brakes.

also the place doing the wheels will probably be able to lend you some wheels?

If you can leave a car for a day, the place that did my wheels will put your car on axle stands inside the factory, whilst the work is being done. An 8 hour turnaround is relatively possible, but as I found out on thursday, the wheels are still quite warm to the touch after only being out the oven for half an hour.

so who burned their fingers then??
