But wasnt it just RS becasue RS "sounded cool and sproty".

Ford then kicked off so they added a V at the starts, the V was the first letter in the name of wehre the Skoda HQ is or soemthing along them lines.

So basically it doesnt stand for anything, it was just to sound cool.
