i like the coloured lights on the trees, that is such a simple but effective idea

Are you down my neck of the woods on holiday perchance? :D

The coloured lighting up does look good in the flesh and has photo'd well. :)

In August - yes. Whereabouts are you ?

I try to improve every year with the night shots - will be about the fourth year running we've been down. There's so much to do.

Wherever we go SWMBO ends up walking a few minutes ahead because I'm taking pictures !

I'm now tuther side of the bay, over in Exmouth. :) Nice seafront down here too. :)

Some distance away then by the time you've gone round the river ?

We did Dawlish Warren several years ago before the kids and digital cameras came along, and it is a nice coastline.

Great pics

Reminds me of one I took a while ago in Wellington..

That's where (more or less) I moved from. :) Could walk down to the warren easily.

Exmouth is a little way from Torbay - quicker by boat than car probably :D

Thanks Rob.

Gives me a great sense of achievement getting good night shots, especially with the coloured light trails reflecting in water.

You can't beat a tripod, long exposure and self timer to get decent shots.

nice pics man, i took some in torquay the other year, think i had a selection of 30 second and 1 minute exposures just after the sun had set. I put the lens filters on the bring out the colours of the lights and ended up with a delicious milky sea. will try find it and put a link on for yaz all to see. :) defo recommend tripod for longer exposures..

Cool pictures there! Im probably the closest member on here to there - about 5 minutes haha. Ride my bike along there, it is lovely scenery - I just take it for granted alot of the time though I suppose!

Si
