Well done Jenson on your second pole start of 2009!

I think Vettal is one to watch, and will give the Brawn's a run for their money.

Vettel will be 10 places back down the grid and how much fuel has every one got on board?

always rated button as the tim henman of the motor world, a trier but will always fall a bit short

I used to think that, but I think it's been the cars which haven't let him show his best.

It would be nice to think the world champion was always the best driver, but in years gone by you couldn't look beyond the top two or three big teams for a possible winner.

Let's hope this year is different.

Re button, in his first season in F1 with williams (2000), he basically turned up and expected Ralf to do all the work whilst he enjoyed the status and girls.

And he knows it. If he'd have been more involved like others (such as lewis), he'd have been higher up the grid a long time ago.

Sepang starting fuel loads revealed - Feature - F1 | ITV Sport

Vettel is fuelled to about lap 11, by comparison, Button is fuelled to roughly lap 16. Rosberg, Trulli, Glock and Webber are slightly lighter, fuelled to lap 15ish........ Kubica is fuelled to about lap 17. Further down the field, Massa and both the Mcliers look to be brimmed.

Should be an interesting race, doesn't look like Button has quite as much margin on the others at sepang, so might be close.

Jayzus thats a touch of rain they are getting at the moment :D Looks like it wont restart I guess.

No chance

They need a boat.

Ah well 5 points for the Man

Looks like it could be easing off, still tons of standing water on the track. A few safety car laps maybe

Shame, there was some good racing and action while it lasted. On another note, i'm loving the bbc coverage! Humphrey, Jordan an Coulthard are doing a stirling job and i love the insight you get from both a former driver and former team boss....... Ledgard is still very much the weak link for me on the commentary tip.

Looks like they will re-start then....... under sc

EDIT.......... maybe.......... maybe not...........

Ledgard is getting better, give him another few more races and i'll think he'll adjust to suit the telly rather than the radio.

Brundle was quite funny trying to get a look at the Toyota triple diffuser, they were clearly having none of it :D I was half expecting a scuffle to break out.

It should be full points and none of this half points malarky and now there is this whole unlapping business.

What's this they are talking about - letting cars from P4 onwards set off 90 seconds before P1-P3?

Its so they can unlap themselves as they would normally behind the safety car.

But its over now anyhow, less than 10 mins until the 2hr time limit and it would take more than 10 mins to restart.

IIRC the first 3 cars crossed the line when the race was suspended so they are technically a lap in front of everyone.

Academic now, its all done and dusted by the looks of it. Silly 2 hour rule :thumbdwn:

Having looked at the water on the surface, I reckon that's a good thing as well

Congrats again Jenson.......

2 out of 2 for Jenson though, good stuff! The half points rubbish is all relative as well so won't make too much difference.

Good job jenson

Half points for first time since '91 oz gp.....

Tyre choice was critical today, so the Brawn cars did well considering that they have not tested the cars in wet conditions. Well done Jenson!

Cracking tyre choice by Ferrari for Kimi, full wets on a mainly dry track.

I loved the commentary when Brawn put a new set of tyres on.

"What do they know that Ferrari don't?"

"Well looking at the bone dry track would be a start"

The only winner was the dwarf. He was told that holding the race in monsoon season when it rains EVERY DAY at early evening is why the race has always been held just after lunch.
