Looking at Fabia1.9td 02/02 45000mls.comfort spec.Dealer,

I'd say thats on the expensive side for Comfort trim and milage. I'd say 6500 to 6750 would be fairer. Always fancied being like Mike Brewer and co....

I paid 6.5k for a 1.9TDI in Elegance trim back in March. Had 53k miles on it and it's on a '01 Y plate. Not that that probably helps you, but I'd say you should be looking at the same ball-park for the Comfort. Have you looked on Parkers to see what they suggest it should be on a forecourt? :)

According to last weeks Auto Express a 1.9 TDI Comfort on an 03 plate is worth

See Parkers for a non-air con model with half the mileage!

Thanks for the info re prices. How would a chipped 1.4td. perform?

Motorhouse 2000 have 2003 03 Fabia 1.9TDi Comforts, 13k miles with aircon for

Thanks for the info re prices. How would a chipped 1.4td. perform?

The 1.4TDi is an aluminium rather than cast iron engine so is quite a bit less nose heavy than the 1.9's so is meant to be more balanced handling-wise. People who have driven the 1.4 TDi says it's very zippy so I imagine chipping it would improve that, but I don't know if we've got anyone on here with one! You could check out Jabbasport's website and see what bhp and torque figures they quote as a guide......... :)
