For my part, I'll not be able to watch any of it, so perhaps I will share a bit of reminising. Reading some earlier posts, there are evidently a few fans of my vintage. I had my old car logbook adorned with Jimmy McCrae's signature, and have photos of the RS200, 6R4s and other firey steeds in a photo album (something the younger generation may be unfamiliar with). I remember how, amazingly, enough spectators gathered together can carry a rally car with two occupants 30ft up a scree slope, without any casualties in the pitch black of a Welsh forest stage...Marshalling some of the night stages in Dalby forest stick in my memory, despite the numbing cold. A mugs game; now you won't catch me doing anything cold, wet and uncomfortable, except setting up firework shows for love...oh damn, is it that time of year again?

Good grief! A 5yr+ resurrection - that's impressive

The rally of south Wales will be probably shown on 'Dave' and Eurosport. As mentioned above on the official website as well. I remember last year following it on the net as I was interested in how a local driver we know (Ryan Champion) was doing.

There are rumors that this rally will move up north and be based around Newcastle which will be a lot better. This will therefore include Hamsterley and Kielder stages.

The last RAC I want to was when it came to Croft in 96 or 97. I was up for for 23 hours that day. I had to be there for 5am to start marshalling a rally at 8am (historics), The main rally started 8pm and finished at 1.30am the next day. :eek: Oh and the maximum temperature it got was minus 5
