Skoda Superb II problems so far

Featured Replies

Hi, so far have had new turbo fitted at 50k,turbo would cut out at 3000 revs, also front nearside fog light has condensation, dealer will not change this yet, as there seems to be a problem with the supplier, also rear parking sensor wiring faulty and replaced under warranty.

You have done 50k in a Superb II

do you just constantly drive round in your car without stopping

On a more serious note sorry to hear about your problems hope you get the foglight sorted soon

Carl:thumbup:

That's some going if you've already managed to clock up 50k miles...

I guess this is the first Superb II with a turbo failure:(

Could be 50 KM

11 faults it looks like once again Skoda have inherited the VW Passat plague of bad designs, look on Honest John at the bad points for a 05- Passat, bit of an eye opener sadly.

50 K ALREADY...!!!

Jaysus, you must have a sore back from all that driving ?

I do about 10K per Anum , and the rest of the time it's parked underground avoiding gardai

On a serious note, it's a pity you have so many faults, but would any of them ( engine wise ) have to do with the fact that the engine was broken in SO quickly, and i presume it's a Fleet car and your not hanging around in it to warm up in the morning, BUT esprcially letting it idle for a minute or so after a long trip to cool down the turbo unit.

Hope you sort out your probs soon and get back to enjoying the car !

Regards

That fog light condensation is a common problem in deed, and I heard that they will change a new part only if there are clear drops of water inside, not if it`s only a little bit wet....but this rule can differ from one country to another...

my last superb 19 tdi elegance did 360k in 3 years, and my only problem was a camlobe replacement, i am a taxi driver and only do airport and continental work, so far clocked up 62k in this new superb, and also cambelt change is not until 120k.

km or miles ?

360k in 3 years!!!

Where the hell do you drive that!

Can anyone change the title of this thread as it gives a misleading picture of the number of problems faced. Might put people off the car, which wouldn't really be fair

If that's miles, that works out at around 450 miles per working day (assuming 22 working days in a month). If it's km, then it's still 283 miles which is still some going .

Actually it gives me a bit more confidence , turbo replaced probably under warranty , misted foglamp and fault with the parking sensors , if thats all the problems the car has in the first 5 years of motoring for me i'll be very very happy
