And I didn't realise you were that old btw Sarah! You don't look it anyway!

:)Great, and very cool vehicles:cool:....but not that well protected against corrosion:rotz:. Check everywhere for rot, but pay particular attention to the rear inner wheel arches/strut tops/load bay area. Also, rear brake pipes are prone to corrosion, but perhaps no more so than normal Felicia's.

Yeah brake pipes on any car really.

The ones on my Felicia and sisters Micra needed greasing after 2 years. Saved them from being replaced though.

Replace the original steel brake pipes with kunifer when they need replacing. Should never need replacing again.

Yes there are a couple on autotrader wanting 3k for them!!

Then there are a couple that need a couple of things sorting like clutch for 1.3k.

Suppose it's all down to how much work I want to put in or whether I want a minter from the off!

What do we think of this one:

1999 SKODA FELICIA FUN YELLOW on eBay, also, Skoda, Cars, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 04-May-09 20:11:28 BST)

Relatively low miles with some minor scrapes and scratches apparantly and it looks as though some of the yellow is wearing off the steering wheel and gearstick.

And rigsby... depends how much you wanting for her?! ;)

But you really shouldn't be offering to sell with a dodgy engine and words like "engine" and "transplant" thrown in!

I dont want anything near £1500, and i wouldnt tell any one that an engine was a pearler, if it wasnt. But if anyone is planning on a project, mine would be ideal, The using oil might be nothing much , as it only started after mistakenly using diesel oil when i serviced it, so it could be just a blocked breather, causing a bit of crankcase pressure, Knowing how few of them there are now, im gunna hope to get about a grand for it. If i only get stupid bids i will just dry store it for a few years, till i decide to sell again or repair and run it

Hi there guys / ladies , first post on here but thought i would say hi as today i actually purchased said 1300 nail from over at norfolk.

Needs some work, quite alot actually... but i got it for a grand. So im not too fussed.

Only ran on 2-3 cylinder for 20 miles then suddenly booted up on all 4 and shes running sweet as a nut now. Foot flat to the floor gives a lovely plume of black smoke...

but im not too worried for the moment. Might bang the TD engine in it when i get some time ...or just wait till it blows up and then do it.

Major things are the corrosion on the load area around the rear shocks, interior... (its seriously minging)... and a set of alloys...

Intend to sort out the corrosion by shotblasting the area and spraying it with a mix of epoxy / sand in the whole load bay to tidy it up and give a nice grippy surface for the enduro bikes. Will also look nice :o

My mrs hates it... and im not too keen on the yellow (mates offered a respray in gloss black). That truckman tops pretty good but bloody heavy and hard work to get off on your own. Safer to do it with someone else or you risk damaging it / something else

Took her into town in it tonight with her girlie mates. They now love it!!!! Women

I like that! I like that A LOT!!!

Thanks for the info Dave... will make sure i check those areas out good and proper!

I think basically if I can get a half decent one that probably needs a few things doing I will then set about to restore/upgrade and will probably just add some HP shocks or similar and upgrade brakes front and back.

Ebay is dangerous when drunk!!!

I too wanted a Fun for ages. I liked the idea of them, but I knew nothing about them. So after a few beers one night I was on ebay looking for tyres for my vRS and ended up buying a Fun!!

I paid £1000, 2 owners(same family), well looked after, lots of history, but high mileage...130k.

The mileage wasn't an issue as changes to the engine will be made :)

My thoughts were, I'd run it until the MOT and Tax run out in June and then take it off the road for a respray and new engine. BUT!!.... I dont want to take it off the road because Im LOVING DRIVING IT! It really is FUN!!! So much Fun infact, my Mk2 Octy vRS has hardly had a run out in the last few weeks!

Note the numberplate paintshop modification...pretty accurate....when new! :)

Hehe... I reckon that's what is going to happen with me...

There should be a built breathe tester on ebay that doesn't let you bid with alcohol in your system! hehe

Phil
