Does anyone know

Featured Replies

Of a dealer who has an Octy 130 PD or when it might be available. My local dealer has a catalogue with it listed but no info. :(

What model is the PD listed for? Elegance 2wd saloon and estate only? or L&K as well?

130PD will be available with Elegance and L & K specs - estimated launch date is Quarter 3 (August/September). It's unlikely any dealer will have one until nearer then.

Hello Gasman and welcome to Briskoda , you sound a very knowledgeable person , perhaps in the trade ?

I take it still no 4x4 with the TDi PD engine then?

Don't know, no info at dealers just listed as Octavia.

I'am after a diesel hatch or estate would prefer a 130bhp PD over the 110bhp DTI. Jabba do a nice remap for the 130 PD.

Thinking of moving across to the "Dark Side" are you?

Has the Superb got a 130 PD in it?

It has, as does MINE..........mmmmmmmmmmmmm.

A very punchy engine, took a Mondeo on Star Hill the other evening, put in 3rd and it really took off, trying some torque steer ( going up), and the Mondeo left for dead.

Cheers

ps I know Sherlodge have a TDI 130 in Classic trim level, so have a word with Barry, I,m sure he can sort you a run;)

Mellow yellow - I do have some 'inside knowledge' - no plans for a 4x4 TDi of any sort I'm afraid.

Why the 'eck did AutoExpress have a press model (UK reg) Octavia 130 Elegance estate on test a month ago. Skoda GB jumped the gun before securing supplies ?

So we'll have to make do with a 4motion TDI Passat or A4 Avant Q a bit longer for 4x4 ?!

It's true.

Here is the verdict.

Its a shame that theres no plans for a 4x4 130PD , i saw a test on 'Maxi Test' last year on Motors TV , it looked like a great spec of car to own and it got a fantastic road test verdict on there (French Spec car)

Thank 'goodness' for that - I thought I'd imagined it

I think that the 4x4 PD 130 Octy is availible on the continent for LHD markets , i think its not able to be converted to RHD for us!

Whoops, looks like my info is out of date already.

Apparently there are a fair few cars in the country all ready, your local dealer should now have prices and, depending on colour and spec, you could be the proud owner of an Octy 130 by the end of the month.

Dmac you're right... I have a friend who now works in Switzerland who has recently purchased a 4x4 PD 130 Octy in LHD and reckons it's a cracking car. Unfortunately, as I understand it, there is a problem regarding the routing of the steering column/rack through the TDI gubbins and 4x4 drivetrain on a RHD car so we can't have them!

Renault were bad for this, actually leaving an offset between centre line of sterring wheel and drivers seat....look at an old R19 for proof, drive it hard (as hard as a R19 TDI can be (co car though)) and you come out feeling like a corkscrew.

Well it might happen one day, the Audi kind of has it, 2.5v6 with quattro which is the haldex. That said it's a lot bigger :) Nice motor, very nice in fact. We just have to wait for the market to demand it in a Skoda, more coal on the fire captin....

The PD150+chip in a 4x4 would of had me I think. But so much torque...wow would be an understatement.

I suppose you could always buy a LHD one and get the lights changed for RHD , and a MPH speedo fitted , if you really really wanted one! (personally id go for an estate 4x4 PD130 in either Eucolyptus Green or Cayenne...)
