*SPOTTED* at Trax 2004!!

Featured Replies

:D aint been on here for a while guys, and i got a bit excited when i seen the stand at trax!!!! Quality!!! Took a few piccys. That Octy on 19's looked awesome! Seen a black Octy that ive seen pics of on Cliosport, and a nice yellow one wi black wheels going round the track! Got a pic of it when it was coming back in to the pitlane area. Minteeeed!!!

My dad is thinking of treating himself for Christmas, along the lines of a superchip........(octy RS), so i told him i would gladly make enquiries.........and hopefully get a shot if he goes for it lol!!! I shall scan the other forum areas for chipping info, but am i correct in thinking that JabbaSport are still the people to see? Costs and gains?

Nice to see the cars together, and enjoyed watching the track sessions! Minteed!!

Rob.

Superchips. Hmmm.

Sorry, but whats Minteeeed??....is that something that you put on roast lamb?

Glad you liked the Octy,s though.

Save yourself ritual superchip embarrassment and search for Jabba, AmD, APR or revo :D

ahhh, must start using the word 'remap' instead of superchip lol!!! Yea, looking into Jabba.....just need some info as to which is the best remap really.........my dad will want reliability, but an extra spark to the car (says he is gettin bored with it now lol). More boost required :)

Jabba remapped my Octy, I have since completed 2 Cannonballs in the car, each one is a 3000 mile total thrash & the car gets absolutely ragged, this year we were 500 into the red in top at one stage & the car still runs as sweet as can be. I would say Jabba every time but thats on personal experience. I know others have had good esults from others

see our post cannonball 2004 - were back

They re-mapped mine almost exactly a year ago and it's been excellent...

So good in fact that i went back on friday for a Variable Boost Controller and Remap adjustment.

The car is now even better :D

Personally, i wouldn't go anywhere else :)

what are the main differences you guys find with the remap? I have to talk him into getting one :)

Obviously the car is coniderably faster in all areas, but the must impressive thing to me is the extra grunt for overtaking.

If you're tootling along at 40 on a country road stuck behind some muppet, wait for a gap, drop to 3rd and boot it. The car will just pick up speed and keep on going until you back off.

It needs a bit of care though, as it's very easy to find yourself doing silly speeds with very little effort ;)

Also, if cruising along at motorway speeds in 5th gear, plant your right foot and the car will take off like a rocket, no need to drop a gear for overtaking :)

lovely!!! Thanks Geoff. My dad likes to have effortless grunt, so he would like that !
