Welcome, you've already made lots of friends lol. It's a great site, lots of knowledgeable people on here.

I would have a read through some of the stickies etc just so you know what to look out for when you get your VRS. Better to spot problems early while it still has dealer guarantee / warranties etc. Don't mean to sound pessimistic but like all cars they have common faults. I bought my 56 plate from a Skoda main dealer and it had the ARB bush failure suspension knocking on the test drive Because I knew it was common problem I pointed it out and they sorted it before delivery, same with leaky rear doors.

My only problems which I can't be bothered taking to dealers with is bloody rattling door trim around the speakers (as if they're gonna fix that) and the BLT engine stutter (no proper Skoda approved fix)

I'll just add another recommendation for going to somewhere between 4000k and 6000k top for an HID (aka Xenon or plasma discharge) headlight conversion. That range is about the light temperature of natural daylight, so gives you the best light in those country lanes on a dark night (yes, I've been down Newbury way), and isn't so violet you'll be on first name terms with the local traffic plods this time next month!

Also, since you're asking about lasses, look for user names AwesomeSarah, Mudpuppy, Skodagirl1985 (that's right Davy?[her fiancee]), Loz, MissP, Miss Piggy (no mistake, 2 different people [and she lives in Wiltshire so maybe not that far fron you]) and Pixi to start with.

The sound system isnt too bad but not amazing.

Luckily enough the speakers are that bad, a good headunit does quite well.

Just popped my Alpine in, top trim and blank coming in tomorrow so ignore them.
