Better late than never

Now that my Furby's arrived, I'd better introduce myself properly!

I live with my other half in Denton outside Manchester, and work near Warrington. I'm into cycling (fairly gently :rubchin: ) on- and off-road, walking in the hills, and I like music along the lines of Orbital, Primal Scream and Mogwai. I'm also a fan of Japanese stuff, especially Susumu Yokota's music, and the 'Ring' horror movies. For the last couple of months, I have also been posting on here, and I hope that what I've put on's been of interest / amusement!

Now I just can't wait to get my car run in - revving between 1500 and 3000 rpm only is doing my head in! ;)

Quick trip to Revo/Jabba and 5000 will be a regular occurence.... I don't mean to rub it in. ;) I'm sort of into cycling, but my damn bike is gathering dust at the moment... That reminds me about my little proposed cycling day out, but I think its been put on ice, so to speak... I know personally I'm gonna be too busy in next month or so :(

I'm upto 550 miles in mine now on vacation in Welsh Border country. I have revv'd over a few times though but only briefly. It gets harder to avoid as you start to get used to driving the car more. :o

So far i've collected 1 small paint chip on the left side and a stone hit my windscreen yesterday leaving a very small mark

Even holding back on the power I have noticed how easy it is to overtake slower vehicles, I love that exceleration. :D although it does seem that everyone else is driving oh so slowly these last few days..... which kind of drives me mad when the roads are so nice. Why would anyone want to do 40mph on an unrestricted road... :thumbdwn:

Never been into racing others but have noticed cars playing with me, either trying to keep up behind or keep ahead and it seems to be a mutual game we are playing. Great fun.

Did the Black Mountains route and beyond this evening. Great drive! Girlfriend got a bit worried on those mountain roads a few times but I like to keep her on her toes... no sleepers in my car :P

Good, innit?! I like how you don't need to change down on the motorway when you want to overtake - kind of like having an automatic when you're being lazy, but still having a manual when you want to enjoy your driving

Last time I bought a new car, I'd already managed to dent the bonnet and front bumper (got 1st instead of R in the car park :1: ), so I'm being extra-extra specially careful...

Promised g/f to take her up to Scotland soon - got nothing to do with wanting a long trip on country roads to see what the Furby can do, oh no... ;)
