I love my car

Featured Replies

Yesterday morning, bright sunny day, light traffic, my yellow Fabia vRS, Masham to Kendal on the A684 through Hawes and Sedbergh, 32.3mpg and still grinning.

I bet that was a great drive - lots of scenary to look at so need to fly along those fun country roads

Yes, those Dales are fantastic in parts.

I don't know... the youth of today  :P

I think I may have driven on that road before but will have been in the Citroen Shed-x so I wouldn't have enjoyed it

Good on ya Andy

I had an early morning run-out this morning in fact, which was nice and quiet; the scenery wouldn't have been a patch on your run though. But it was brisk nonetheless :D

Should of stopped in Hawes for some cheese, and then turned left onto the Buttertubs Pass :D

And Only I know where you were going :P

We went on a jolly too

Somewhere in Cleckhuddersfax?

I've never managed to get fuel consumption that low, even when thrashing a fabia vrs.

Andy obviously has some good driving skillz then! Either that or just sheer lunacy :P

Or he forgot about 4th 5th and 6th gear :D

Yep, with spirited driving over a reasonable distance low 30s aren't unusual. I'm imagining this particular route involves some reasonable inclines as well...

The last NW meet down to the Evo triangle and associated routes, I remember my vRS at the time returning low to medium 30s for that particular evening.

As he was going east to west, Buttertubs would have been a right turn

However, a left turn at Hawes could have seen him on the awesome Ribblehead road  I'm often in that area just for the sheer Hell of enjoying some of the best driving roads in the country :yeahdude:

Forgot about the road down to the Ribblehead Viaduct, an awsome road :D

Saying that the last time i was in the area i was driving my LR Discovery, not the fastest A - B car.

I may have passed you whilst leading a convoy of 18 Scoobs  The rest of the pussies couldn't manage a simple overtake of a lumbering barge like that and I had to wait 8 minutes for them to catch me up at Hawes  Gave me time to check that my car was still in one piece after hitting the yump a mile from Hawes at 100+ (check out 9:04 of this vid of a Porker doing Ribblehead...

....he hits the yump at about 50, pussy)
