Have loved my Fabia VRS for a year now but am being tempted away by a Octavia VRS now.

Have been offered £6000 for my spotless 06 Fabia with 32k against a 07 Octavia with 16k that is £12595, would cost me another £100 a month in finance, no change in insurance. I am wavering, just wondering what you guys/gals think ??

I think the Octavia sounds pretty expensive! I loved my Mk1 though , it was probably the best car Ive ever had so you should have a test drive of the Mk2 (if you havent already!) and see how it feels to you.

:eek: That octy is extortionate especially if it is the petrol?? and the px on the furby sounds equally low, a very bad deal imho.

Up until a couple of months ago we had both, it was the Octavia (petrol) I sold

I shouldve said the octy is the diesel vrs

Still way overpriced, If you are only being offered £6k for the Fabia I would want at least £2k off the screen price.

I know its more hassle, but sell privately you will get more. Then buy cash, they cant resist those £50 notes.

:iagree: You should get at least £7k for yours, a new CR vRS can be had for £16.6 from dtd with 0% finance and free servicing.

And for only £12 you can join freedom and advertise it on here to a captive audience

Skoda Octavia 2.0 TDI PD vRS 5-Dr Hatchback

My mate just got an 08 Plate Octavia TDI VRS, with 9k miles on the clock from a Skoda main dealer for the price of the 07 plate you are considering :eek:

Either hagle the price down or if you are seriously considering a move to the Octy then shop around at some other dealers

Like I said it seems a poor "cost to change"

Just looking on Autotrader brings up many newer and or cheaper examples also from dealers.

Don't be afraid to travel a goodly distance to get a good deal, even over the phone a main dealer will be able to give you a pretty accurate px value so long as you are honest about condition.

If I needed the extra cabin and boot space.... yes, but I wouldn't change to Octy vRS on the basis of just wanting something different.....
