Parrot CK3100 Handsfree Install

Featured Replies

I am thinking about buying one of these bluetooth hands free kits, but how easy are they to fit into a Octy VRS?

Do I need to buy any other cables or adaptors with the kit?

Cheers for any advice you can give!

Mark

Should be straight forward are relatively easy to do once you have the radio out, to allow radio muting lead to be cut in.

If its anything like the Sony Ericssin kits I have fitted, there isnt many wires and the hardest thing is getting at the wiring/back of the radio as long as you read the instructions and dont rush.

I think this may have been covered in prvevious postings, so it might be a good idea to do a search of the site.

Just a quick question.....

which phone are you going to use with it?

Ive got a CK3000 car kit (without the display) and you only get full funcionality with SonyErricson phones - so not sure the display would work on a nokia or something

You get all the cables you need in the box, its just a basic passthru iso connection that plugs in the back of your headunit wiring loom (you may need to swap the red+yellow wires over) only issue i encountered in my fabia is trying to fit it all behind the dash.... and apparently the quality of call on the other end is appalling.... but thats probably due to me having the mic at the top of the A pillar instead in the middle next to the rearview mirror

I have got a Motorola V600. I have checked out the compatibily on the web, and it says it should work....

Has anyone else had any problems with this phone and the CK3000/CK3100?

Side step here...how do you find the V600?

As far as your prospective configuration goes, the Parrot seems to have some good reviews I seem to remember.

It's not too bad, aprt from: -

1. Battery life is rubish

2. Keeps turning off mid call

3. Lack of space to store SMS messages

4. Camera pictures are poor quality when transfered to PC

5. People struggle to hear me when talking because the microphone is quite

I have however found work arounds for the above issues. If you keep the phone turned off, the battery life is no longer an issue, don't use the phone to make calls on, delete all SMS messages, don't use the camera and if you do need to make a call, use a hands free kit!!!

On a good note, the ring tones are excellant, so nice to be able to convert MP3s to ring tones, but again not enough storage space on the phone.

Does that answer you question?!!!

A little, messages isnt an issue nor is photos or ringtones. However battery life and call quality are, so a rethink might be in order and a diversion towards the V500 instead (from my Siemans S55)

Cheers

Hi,

I have a Motorola v600 that works fine with a parrot 3000 (no display) in my octavia. Easy to fit since it comes with connectors that plug straight into the wiring loom on the back of the radio.

BUT, it only behaves like a headset to the v600, all the voice dialling etc is done using the v600's memory. You don't get the caller announce that I did with my old Ericsson t68i and so on.

I'd be interested to see if the caller display works on the 3100, but I have my doubts. Check before you buy.
