Mr Alesi, who mapped your Fab?

Cheers

It was remapped here in, Budapest.:)

But I believe any good tuning company can do the the same.

i thought i would just add my experience to this even tho its not a skoda

2007 Seat Ibiza 1.4TDI ( AMF 75BHP)

Mods:

PD160 air intake

Greenpanel Filter

Custom Code Phase 1 Remap

Been running the car for roughly a year now with the remap and it really makes a huge difference! not had any problems yet at all

I got the car Mobile Roalling Roaded at GTI International 2009 ,Bearing in mind that it was very very warm that day and the engine was very warm when i went on the road it managed to Produce 105.6BHP and 182.7 lb/ft Torque ,Custom Code predicted 100-112BHP and 185 lb/ft Torque

A few people have said it will be producing slightly more than 105 , due to it being very warm and also mobile RR aint that accurate  so i would like to think its closer to 110

were you not worried about your warranty or insurance?

were you not worried about your warranty or insurance?

All mods are declared with insurance

and as for warranty ,if something breaks they shouldnt be able to see the remap

so i would just remove other mods that they could blame it on and send it in

Andrew, nothing will break. The 1.4TDI is a tough little bugger! I've seen them used and abused for years without problems. Just use the right oil and everything will be fine.

ive read in several places that doing a stage 2 on the 1.4TDI is a NO GO

apparenly they dont last very long running stage 2 spec

i was planning De-cat , Middle box , FMIC , EGR Bypass and a custom exhaust

oh and recently ive found out that mine is a BNV 80BHP not AMF 75BHP

here's a question for you guys, I've just bought a 1.4tdi and I'm looking to mod it. All the suggestions/things done I've already collected the parts, remap being done soon ;)

the question is, would standard mk1 fabia vrs brakes bolt straight on to the fronts? I've a full setup including disk n pads sitting in my garage just looking for a new home lol

Just a guess but if you have the discs and the pads, calipers, etc, I should think they would fit. Its usually if you only have the calipers and pads. Then the discs might need changing.

Another thing to think about... The master cylinder (Or slave) May be different too! May still be ok but the vrs version may be upgraded to accomodate the better brakes! I would check properly first, rather then just switch, just to be safe!

Im not sure but i beleive you will need new hubs to fit the vrs brakes as the carriers are part of the hub on lower spec/powered models.

I know i couldnt fit them to my 1.4 polo

had a funny feeling about the hubs. Was hoping it would be a "bolt on, job done" kinda thing.........

hmmmm...........might just look into the whole pad and disk uprating then

anyone looking for a set of mk1 vrs front brakes lol lol
