I know its not a skoda but i really need help

Featured Replies

Hi there my problem is with my wife's Mercedes A140 (year 2000)When starting it starts first time but will either cut out straight away or the revs will rise and drop almost to the point of cutting out.I bought the car in January and had it serviced at the garage i got it from about 2 days later this problem started.I took it back but they couldn't find anything on the diagnostics. So on taking it home i decided to check the spark plugs which were supposed to be changed at the service and to my horror were Renault plugs:eek:I changed these for recommended plugs and when the car is at temperature runs a lot smoother.:thumbup:so as you can probably see i don't want to take it back to them.Any advice would be greatly appreciated

On another note the car is a complete lemon the boot has been changed so doesn't lock (really want to murder someone)which i only noticed last week.phoned the garage and asked them to fix it.to which I was told i could have changed it.So the upshot to that is I'm now going through trading standards.

NEVER EVER EVER BUY A CAR FROM BRIDGEND MOTORS IN KILWINNING AYRSHIRE

my mates mrs brought a car similar to that a few months ago, problem turned out to be some sensor near the injectors from memory, it was a 50p but took them several trips to the garage to diagnose, frickin useless

Have you got AA cover?

I've got RAC cover on the felly so i'm not sure if it covers the mercedes i had thought about that but the problem with that is its not got home start included:eek:

Em, I thought Bridgend were a Mitsubishi dealer? I know that my uncle (who lived 5 minutes up the road) never bought a car anywhere else, and never had any problems with them either.

If you have RAC personal cover then you are covered and not the car.

I have car cover on mine, so it's one policy per vehicle.

The Mitsubishi dealer is in Irvine same group though. My papa is of the same persuasion but the majority of people i have spoke too say not to touch them with a bargepole. And i can tell you that there customer service is shocking if you have a problem with them :thumbdwn:

Ok, it's been a while since I was down at the Garnock bridge in Kilwinning; pretty much everyone I know thereabouts lives over West someplace so there's no real need now.
