Hi everyone.

I have just bought my first Skoda. It is an Octavia 1.9 TDi Ambiente.

I did a run to Wembley & back yesterday & the computer tells me that I averaged 64 mph & fuel consumption was 47.1mpg. If this is true then I am very pleased.

Any feedback on how accurate the computer tends to be would be welcomed (the average speed is probably about right, cos I flew back!)

Welcome. The general consensus is that the trip computer is slightly generous, but not by much.

Hiya.

The trip comsumption mode on the computer can be up to 10% optomistic, but the available range mode is pretty accurate.

I've had over 60mpg from a TDi90, based on fill to fill figures on a hire car.

Thanks to all for the welcome & for the info on the computer. I have now done a full to full check & it works out at 46.3mpg. I am still impressed, but will keep monitoring it for a while.
