Thanks great Dane. Still a bit confused.

Part I think I have is DMM620001

Consists of mesh guard size and shape of space above reas reat back with 2 'legs' approx 12 inches long off the bottom bar vverticall with a bend in them part way and 2 'knobbles' on the legs. No fixings and nil obvious to fix to.

Do you think Im missing some pieces?

Thanks

You are definitely missing some items if all you have is the mesh guard and the knob-headed screws. You should also have the leg pieces that the knobs screw into - which in turn are secured to the rear seat locking lugs with Allen/hex bolts. You should have gotten them as well.

If its the one I saw on ebay - yes there are parts missing. I did email seller to ask if the clips were available - no reply. The guy was seller it for a mate who had a octavia estate lease car and thought he would take it out of the car and sell it as he was getting a new car. Contacted retailer to ask it clips were available - answer NO.

Thanks for the info - feel a bit of a fool now! Needless to say I will take this with up with the seller, certanly looks as though was not an honsest mistake. Maybe the first negative feedback Ive had to leave on ebay - disapointing.

Hi all,

I've just got one of these off Ebay too. I think it is complete. It came with the main mesh, two legs, two knobble bolts, and two large bolts. The large bolts have two very large washers and I also have four small spring washers. The part number on the legs is DMM620001.

My car is a 2006 Elegance estate i.e. with the false floor. I've put the guard in by hooking the large hook over the seat lugs and the bottom of the leg hooks over a lug on the side of the boot. It all looks dandy and is fairly secure if a little rattley.

So the question is, what are the large bolts and washers for?

All advice very welcome

Michael L.

You should bolt the bottom of the legs to the two retaining lugs, this is done from underneath the legs. You need to remove the false floor to do this then it is fairly obvious, otherwise the dog guard is only held in place by the seats.

If it is properly fitted and secured it won't be able to rattle.

Thanks for the advice. I now see where the large bolts go into the bottom of the legs. However I can't quite see how the false floor comes out to get access. Would be grateful for this last piece of information

Ill take some pics of mine when im back from the park with the family.
