I noticed that the new brochure was printed last April? and in fact they're showing the new squarish ugly steerings in the brochure http://new.skoda-auto.com/SiteCollectionDocuments/Catalogue/NewFabia/Fabia_Catalogue_ENG.pdf I ordered mine last April and should be on the way (or at least soon)... Are there any changes such as the steering that were applied lately to the Fabia?

I don't know but it could be that specs for a car in Malta are not the same as a UK car.

The brochure you link to includes a Fabia Scout and has the old style trim level names (Classic) etc. the brochure on the UK website has no fabia Scout and our trim levels are 1, 2 and 3 instead of having names.

I suspect the only way you can find out for certain is to ask your dealer.

The brochure in the link seems to have been created in april 09 apparently (there's a fine print on the last page saying 04/2009 or something similar).

With regards to the Trim Level 1/2/3convention, I have a feeling that this is only used throughout the UK. In Malta we get the Ambiente and Sports versions (there are also the classic and comfort produced I think but they're not imported here). Skoda Malta Prices & Specs

The new UK brochure just on the UK website today includes a Scout, and a footnote to a pic says soemthing like "This image does not reflect changes to the steering wheel which are now available", so looks like Takksi was on to something.

I agree - what an ugly steering wheel. I note as an aside that the Fabia Scout apparently has both Electric rear windows and Rear electric windows. Wonder how you know which ones you're opening?
