is the owners manual ment to fit on the shelf? Mine seems a bit to thick to fit.

If your Octy came with a Blaupunkt stereo as mine did, the manual for it is thicker than the car manual, so I took it out. Otherwise, try sliding the manual into the shelf, with the "open" side of the manual facing outwards... it works for me!

You could try taking some gloves out and leaving it loose instead

Or just remove some of the less important stuff..

Mine wedges quite niceley in one of the rear door pockets.

Still, mine's just the right size for an envelope containing Father-in-law's blue badge and time disc. The owners' manual lives under the boot floor.

not sure of the make, think it just says Symphony, the manual is thicker than the car manual, autochangers got its own manual too!

I like the way the stereo records Traffic announcements, would be nice if the radio had the time on it as I like to have MPG figure on the dash display. My dad's Bora has all the information displayed on the dash/

I leave my manual in the bottom of the glove box under the rather handy hinged flap.

My manual fits on the little shelf in the glove box, but as the shelf is a bit wider, no matter how I put it, the manual sags and flops in the middle, which usually on the fifth trip of the week, thuds softly from it's perch onto the bottom of the glovebox...lovely design feature that.......
