Hi recently had a problem with engine management light coming on whilst driving but hopefully thats sorted now (hasnt been on for 24 hours).

but whilst waiting to pick my girlfriend up i was sitting in car and noticed that if i put key in ignition and turn once all the dash light symbols come everyone goes off after a few seconds apart from the engine management light the battery and the handbrake.once i fully start the car up engine light and battery light go off and no more stop on is this whats supposed to happen or should they go off straight away like the rest

Yeah the engine management light sometimes stays on on mine for a few seconds and then goes out with the battery and handbrake lights. And mine has no stored fault codes. I think it's normal... it's probably just to indicate the ECU is checking itself.

its stopping on for more than a few seconds pal its actualy stoping on till i start car up properly if you get me pal thx for reply

Yeah thats the same as mine, the ECU light stays on with the key in position 1 but goes out when you start the engine.

I check mine every week or so for fault codes and there aren't any so I don't think it's a problem.
