Should there be an Octavia 3 section ?

Yes when the Octy III is released. Currently there is an Octy 1 and 2, and an Octy 2 facelift. Octy 3 will be a brand new car with new chassis, still a few years aways yet.

In a similar way there was Fabia I, facelifted Fabia I (both stayed in the same forum) and now Fabia II

There is one around the corner but according to Auto Express today, it might not be until 2012. Can we wait that long...? What happens to the Superb too ? The new Octavia (3) is going to be Superb size with a car fitting in below it and above the Fabia, if I read it correctly. No doubt someone will shout at me if I'm not...

hows this similiar? Fabia II is a new model, like the Octy III will be when it arrives circa 2012. Octy II and Octy facelift should stay in the same forum.

Lets put this into context, Fabia II is a new design, completely different to the Fabia 1. Octy II and Octy II facelift are the same car, same chassis albeit different engines and trim design, so should remain as Octy II.

He meant that the Fabia I and Fabia I facelift were in one forum, and the Fabia II has it's own forum.

yes and thats how Octy II and Octy facelift should be. Octy III is non existent, some people choose to call the Octy II facelift Octy III as it appears. :)

No.

Can there be a Limited Edition Forum? ... joking BTW.

What about people who want to be special and have their own section? :D:D

Should there be a 1.4TSi DSG section?

That'll be lonely!

Thanks - glad you understood.

My point was that a facelift did not warrant a new forum.

With the Fabia it was the Fabia I that was facelifted. With the Octy it is of course the Octy II that is facelifted. Hence why I referred to it as being a "similar" situation - not an identical one!

And their posts go there and no one else can see them? Would we be able to nominate people to it?:D

Is it just me or is that a Saab 9-5? (Which I like the look of actually)

Looks a bit pout lipped to me - have to Czech up and see if it's a Swedish relative of Vauxhall.

I demand a a forum for each permutation of spec damnit!

It already exists, Jason. It's the second half of this one. HTH. :(

the mk1 octavia was facelifted aswell, but most fabia drivers either aren't old enough or are too senile to remember.
